Speech Pathologist

Carly Carter earned her bachelor’s degree< from Clemson University, and her master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from the Medical University of South Carolina. Carly has worked in the rehabilitation setting for over five years, with the last two years at AnMed Health. She holds certification in VitalStim® therapy, FEES and STAR oncology rehabilitation. Her clinical interests include aphasia/language therapy, brain injury recovery and dysphagia. Carly believes the ability to not only communicate wants and needs, but also to converse socially is essential to quality of life.

Keri Caskie, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Keri Caskie received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary health sciences, followed by a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University. She has worked at AnMed Health for the past four years and has experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. During her time with AnMed Health, Keri has become a driving rehabilitation therapist and enjoys teaching a weekly Parkinson’s exercise class at a local YMCA. Keri also has experience and training with adaptive technology and evaluates patients for mobility devices during a weekly seating and mobility clinic. She has also received her STAR certification. Seeing patients continue to live their lives to the fullest and maintain their highest level of function is very rewarding for her.

Speech Pathologist

Richard Dubose earned his master’s degree from The University of South Alabama. He worked for 11 years focusing on the traumatic brain injury patient population and has expanded his scope since that time. His specialties include FEES, VitalStim therapy, LSVT, brain injury and cognitive disorders. Richard believes in establishing a partnership with his clients, fostering trust and hope, and addressing the areas that are most meaningful to his clients.

Candace Furr, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Originally from Iva, S.C., Candace Furr is a 2003 graduate of Wingate University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In 2006, she earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Elon University. Candace has nine years of experience at AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital with seven years in the outpatient setting treating orthopedic and neurological patients. Candace is currently the lead physical therapist in the outpatient department. She is a certified Lee Silverman Voice Training® (LSVT) BIG and STAR oncology therapist as well as an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor. Candace is also trained in Dry Needling, which is a treatment technique to improve myofascial pain. Candace enjoys working with all age groups and believes that getting to know the person, not just the impairment, is vital.

Jennifer Howland, MA, CCC-SLP

Speech Pathologist

Jennifer Howland has 17 years of experience working with people who experience dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive deficits and voice disorders caused by stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological diseases. She is currently the lead speech therapist for the inpatient and outpatient departments. Jennifer is certified in LSVT and in deep pharyngeal neuromuscular stimulation, and she is trained in electrical stimulation.

Crystal Marshall is originally from Batesburg-Leesville, S.C., and received her degree from Midlands Technical College in West Columbia in 2007. Crystal has worked in various outpatient clinics and has taken additional courses, which focused on specific soft tissue and joint mobilization techniques. She specializes in managing chronic pain and women’s health with an extensive background in treating chronic low back pain. She is a trained manual therapist with a background in the Graston Technique.

Sara Moore is originally from Pendleton, S.C.  After graduating from Clemson University in 2003, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina and received master’s degree in rehabilitation sciences with an emphasis in physical therapy in 2005. She continued to further her education in 2008 with a transitional doctorate of physical therapy. Since graduation, Sara has worke for HealthSouth in both the inpatient and outpatient departments. She has a background in pediatrics and geriatrics as well. Sara holds the> following certifications: Neuro-IFRAH, APTA Certified Clinical Instructor, STAR oncology certification, LSVT BIG certified, and has completed the Clinical Specialist I on the HealthSouth Therapy Clinical Ladder.

Erin Van Duinen, PT, DPT

Erin Van Duinen graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006 with a clinical doctorate degree in physical therapy. She has worked at AnMed Health since 2011. Erin is Neuro-IFRAH and LSVT BIG certified and specializes in stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. She also enjoys working with patients recovering from lower extremity amputations and joint replacements. Focusing on individualized therapy, Erin strives to help her patients return to the activities they love including community and social involvement.
Scott VanDuined, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Scott VanDuined graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan in 1995. Scott has 18 years of outpatient experience, having moved to the Anderson area in 1995. He has an extensive background in upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation. Scott has approximately seven years of exclusive shoulder rehabilitation experience. He is a trained Saebo® clinician, certified in LSVT BIG and well diversed in splint fabrication. Scott enjoys working with young athletes as well as the geriatric population. He considers himself a functional therapist treating the whole person— not just a body part.
