Leadership & Staff
Chief Executive Officer
Denise Murray assumed the role of CEO in April 2017. She came to AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital from Community Hospital Corporation where she served as chief executive officer for a long term acute care hospital in North Carolina. Denise has more than 22 years of hospital leadership experience with the majority of it being in acute and long term acute care for not-for-profit organizations. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Gardner Webb University.
William Vogenitz, M.D.
Dr. Vogenitz has worked for AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital since the opening in 2003. He started his career in physiatry in 1999. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical College and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation in North Carolina. Dr. Vogenitz is board certified in PM&R and belongs to the American Academy of PM&R and the American Medical Association.
William Vogenitz, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Director of Human Resources
Morgan has more than 6 years in a leadership role. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Morgan went on to complete her professional certifications in Human Resources and Project Management and earned her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management. Morgan, her husband Michael and two children, Peyton and Maddox relocated to South Carolina to join the AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital leadership team in 2015, where she is the Director of Human Resources.
Business Development Director
Dawn has more than 16 years of experience in sales/marketing and healthcare leadership. After attending Indiana State University, Dawn relocated to South Carolina. Dawn joined the AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital leadership team in 2008 where she manages both the admissions and marketing operations.
Chief Nursing Officer
Kelly has over 12 years of experience in healthcare. She received her MSN in nursing administration from King University. She has worked as an adjunct faculty member for nursing programs at both King University and Milligan College. Kelly has a comprehensive background in ortho/ neuro/trauma ICU. In addition, she has several years’ experience in nursing leadership and as a stroke program coordinator in a Joint Commission Accredited Stroke Center.
Director of Case Management
Anne has more than 30 years in behavioral health services. She received her bachelor’s degree from Alvernia University in substance abuse counseling and administration. Prior to joining AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital, she was senior counselor with AnMed Wellspring and a child abuse investigator with Berks County Family and Children’s Services in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Service Line Medical Director
Dr. Fry is the service line medical director at AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Fry has over 15 years of experience as medical director of a medical rehabilitation unit at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Kenmore NY. Her clinical interests include spinal cord, brain injury, stroke, and hip fracture. Dr. Fry completed her internship in 1993 in the Department of Internal Medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo and her residency in 1996 at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Fry is a 1986 graduale from Houghton College, Houghton, NY. She was board certified in 1999 by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Director of Therapy Operations
Doug Glenn received a master’s degree in physical therapy from The University of Mississippi Medical Center and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Mississippi State University. He has been employed by HealthSouth since 2002 with concentration in the management of patients that have suffered CVA and brain injury in the acute rehab setting. Doug twice served as a mentor in the neuroresidency at the Medical University of South Carolina. NDT and Neuro-IFRAH trained, Doug is able offer a variety of perspectives and treatment ideas for managing patients with hemiplegia.
In additional to serving as AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital’s controller, Julie also manages the regional business office operations for all five HealthSouth locations in South Carolina. She has more than 16 years of financial management experience. Prior to her work with AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital, she served as the financial manager with AnMed Health. Julie received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
Director of Quality and Risk
Joyce joined the AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital leadership team in August 2005, after being with the HealthSouth surgery division since 1998. She has more than 40 years of experience as a nurse with her experience including infection control, nursing management, critical care and surgical nursing. Joyce earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
